Expression of Interest to join the Aotearoa Collaborative Reference Group – second EOI
The Midwifery Council of New Zealand (the Council) are strengthening the Treaty Partnership for the Aotearoa Midwifery Project.
A second expressions of interest process for the following three roles - a Maori Consumer, Lead Maternity Carer and Representative from a Maori Midwifery Professional Body from across Aotearoa with a passion for professional midwifery practice to join the Collaborative Reference Group.
This newly established collaborative reference group aims to expertly guide the Council’s review of the regulatory framework specific to midwifery practice in Aotearoa by enabling ways of working together to achieve a positive point of difference that includes:
- providing midwifery counsel that focuses on improved outcomes for wahine/women, their pepi/babies and whanau/family
- contributing information, ideas and networks to support the successful implementation of the Aotearoa Midwifery project
- guiding the development of revised amendments to the midwifery regulatory framework and implications for recertification and preregistration education for the midwifery profession across the next 5 - 10-years
As with the first expressions of interest process the main criteria are that you are committed to bringing insights while contributing to strategic, high level thinking and decision making in a collaborative way. It is expected that your manager and/or organisation support your interest in joining the Aotearoa Midwifery Collaborative Reference Group (terms of reference attached or link to TOR).
Applications open Monday 20 April, closing 4pm Monday 14 May.
